Happy birthday, mom!
As today is my mom's birthday, I woke up thinking about her and of course, about the present I would get for her when she'll visit me, next month. This pretty much inspired me to write this post, as my mom has always been that lady who smelled incredibly good ALL THE TIME. She is the reason why today I have quite an impressive collection of perfumes which, by the way, is growing rapidly. Also, this passion for scents and fragrances. Thank you, mummy! :) I am also sure she'll get a new perfume from me so maybe this list will help me decide which one would be the most suitable for her. I also love recommending good stuff to people so here we go:
1. DIOR J'ADORE INJOY
I've never been a fan of J'adore Collection or floral perfumes in general and I never thought I would actually wear a Dior J'adore because I've never found one to actually like....until now. Dior J'adore inJoy was a birthday present and OMG it smells so goooood!! Delicate, subtle and fresh, it captures notes of fleur de sel, ylang-ylang and peach, but what I like the most about it is that it actually gives me a good, warm energy and puts me in a really good mood.
Price: 50ml = £60.00

2. Maison Lancôme Oud Bouquet
Ok, this perfume has nothing in common with Dior J’adore inJoy or with any of my other perfumes and is definitely on top of the strongest perfumes I own and I know.
First of all Maison Lacome is a private collection of fragrances that is exquisite and crafted in the same manner that one composes a wine of the most superior grade (Grand cru).
How have I discovered it? I was actually going to Harrods to buy my favourite perfume (you’ll find out about it a little bit later). The thing is I had no idea that in Harrods you can’t pay by cash if the price is over £30 and I did not have my debit card with me so my plan got ruined. I was with my cousin and sister and my cousin was planning to buy a perfume as well but she did not have her debit card with her either so we just started walking around, dissapointed.
My cousin is a makeup artist so we went to HUDA BEAUTY so she could buy some makeup products. While waiting for her to try on some lipsticks I got bored and right next to HUDA BEAUTY it was a Lancome stand (that caught my attention because it seemed they were selling some different kind of perfumes than the ones eveybody knows about already). I tried the first one I saw and my first reaction was ”Eww what’s this?”. It was not that I did not like it but it was so strong that I felt like it hit me. I put it back, not necessarily interested and we left. Half an hour later, after the perfume sit on my skin and got mixed with the warmth of my body there was this amazing, sweet, delicious smell that kept coming back to me and I did not know from where. At some point, my cousin told me that I leave such an interesting smell behing me and she asked what it was. That was the moment when I smelled my wrist and realised that the smell of sweet, vanilla biscuits (I don’t know how many people remember the simple, vanilla PICNIC BISCUITS – after a while this perfume smells exactly like them) was coming from me and it was the Lancome perfume I tried in Harrods but I did not remember the name of it (except the OUD thing). I spent two days trying to remember the name, doing research on Google and trying it out in stores before I found it and I loved it and my dear sister and father gave it to me as a birthday present! Thank you!
It’s definitely a winter perfume, I would never wear it during summer because it would probably be too much but during the cold season it’s just perfect.
For those who love strong, sweet (woods, vanilla and honey) oriental flavours this is perfect! I also have to mention that it lasts forever and is the fanciest perfume I have (it looks very fancy and comes wrapped up in a very posh and luxurious manner).
They've changed the bottle at the end of 2017 so now you won’t find this edition anymore, only the new one (but the smell is the same).
Price: 100ml = £170.00

3. Bonbon - Viktor&Rolf
First of all, it looks so cute you can't ignore it. Some sort of pink candy bow that makes it hard not to love it at first sight. When I smelled it, I knew I had to have it. It’s just my kind of smell : strong, intense, sweet. Bonbon smells like caramel candies. Do you know what that means? Yummy, delicious, I-wanna-eat-it kind of smell. Exactly like that. I think it has some fruity accents as well that prevent the fragrance to be headache inducing. Perfect for the cold weather in my opinion but I can’t help myself not to wear it in the summer time as well.
Price: 50ml = £63.00

4. Mon - Guerlain
Mentioning the fact that Angelina Jolie is the image for this perfume says it all. Mon by Guerlain is one of the sexiest, most seductive perfumes I’ve ever tried. EVER! It’s delicate yet daring, fresh (summer-ish) but sophisticated and mysterious and it’s one of the most long-lasting fragrances I know (at least on me).
I also saw a review of TOP SEXIEST PERFUMES in 2017 on Youtube made by a german guy and MON by GUERLAIN was rated number 1.
I personally adore it and highly recommend it.
Price: 100ml = £86.40

5. Jasmin Noir - Bvlgari
This perfume is very important to me and brings me back so many memories from that winter in 2016. It was a present (I was not blown away by the scent at first) but it traveled it’s way to my heart and I ended up so in love with it that I bought it again myself. Even though it reminds me of winter, I’ve always thought that this perfume is perfect for the spring- summer time. It has a fresh, simple and crisp scent but it’s also a little bit unusual. It has notes that go deep and make it oh so sexy. You just can’t go wrong with it. I think about white when I wear it. White, fresh and clean, airy environment.
What I loved the most about it, is the perfect, gorgeous bottle (my favourite bottle from my collection). It looks so delicate and fragile that it makes you think it was created for a princess.
Price: it was £65.00

6. Play - Givenchy
Well, this perfume blew my mind from the start. Radically. Totally.
One of my best friends had it and she was the one who showed it to me because, to be honest, I don’t like the bottle that much and I would have never tried this perfume in the first place because the bottle does not look very appealing.
It's the purple bottle (the intense version). There are two bottles, purple and pink (I don’t like the pink version at all but I completely fell in love with the purple version). You can’t find it everywhere, I remember I was living in Coventry at that time and I did not find it there, I went to Birmingham and I did not find it there either (not even in Selfridges) and I had to come to London where the only store that had it was House of Fraser.
It’s intense, sensual and sweet (a little headache inducing kind of sweet). In my opinion it is made for cold, winter days and nights and I would never wear it during hot, summer days because it is too much.
It also reminds me a little bit of Jimmy Choo Ilicit (a little bit more actually) but I absolutely adore it and whenever I smell it, it brings back so many great memories.
Price: 75ml = £52.00

7. Midnight Poison - Dior
Alrighhhhht, this perfume makes me soooo sad !! It was discontinued a long time ago and it is such a shame they don’t make it anymore because it’s fascinating, it’s amazing, it’s almost too good to put it into words!!
First time when I tried this perfume was in the sixth grade, more than 10 years ago (daaaaamn, that’s a long time ago). My auntie had it and when I smelled it I knew that it was going to be my most favourite perfume for a very long time. I loved it, I became obsessed with it. My mom received it as well as a Christmas present and I knew I had to have it one day.
Well, I grew up and Dior stopped making it and my heart was broken. Really, I suffered when I heard they were not making it anymore. Last year, on my birthday my sister gave it to me as a present and I can’t explain how happy I was that she actually found it and I have it, finally.
Apparently, there were a few ones left online, my sister got it from E-bay (and she paid a lot of money for it , £180 for 50 ml and I love her for that). You just need to pay a lot of attention when you buy it online because there are a lot of fake versions of it. The real ones are very expensive (around £300 now, but TRUST MEEEE it’s so damn worth it).
Before I had Lancome Mansion, Dior Midnight Poison was the strongest perfume I had and I should also mention that the smell is unisex (a lot of people actually ask me if I wear a perfume for men whenever I wear it).
It's dark, intense, mysterious, sexy (exactly like the bottle which seems like some sort of poison) and so long lasting. Great for those cold, long winter days and nights.
P.S. Somebody told me a few days ago that you can now order it from Harrods but I did not check, so I don’t know any details about that - but that would be just amazing, really!

8. Addict - Dior
Quite a big Dior fan over here! :)
Okaaaaay, here it is : my favourite perfume at the moment and it has been for the past two years or so : ladies and gents - Dior Addict (the blue bottle).
It’s quite funny because I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT AT FIRST!!
My cousin bought it for herself when she turned 18 and I remember I flew to London for the weekend to celebrate her birthday and I was with her when she bought it. I hated it! I remember every time she was wearing it I was getting headaches (I must mention that it’s headache inducing and that is why you don’t have to abuse it and wear too much because it’s very, very strong). In my opinion, I find it quite similar to Dior Midnight Poison (not only the colour of the bottle is exactly the same but the smell is quite similar too).
It’s intense, vibrant, feminine and very powerful. I can’t even remember when I started to love it so much (it must have been during my second year of uni when I lived with my cousin). Now it’s my favourite perfume, I find it incredibly amazing and I think I will never stop having it.
Price: 50ml = £71.50
